We know that local residents are very keen to be able to use the new section of Athlone Gardens. We thank everyone for their patience during recent delays to its opening. We plan for it to open early this year, once a new gate has been fitted.
The Venture Centre worked in partnership with Hammersmith Play Association to take 37 children from four centres – Venture Adventure Playground, White City, P3 and Hornimans Adventure Playground – to Badgell’s Wood in Kent. This gave the children a chance to mix with others around the area, as well as develop team-building and other practical skills.
Alvaro Mozun joined us in October and has taken over from Michelle Poponne. Michelle is now in charge of Maternity Champions which is currently being set up – we will provide more information on this exciting new project soon! Michelle and Alvaro will both be based at the Venture Centre.
Over the summer holidays, 115 children enjoyed a healthy lunch at the Venture Centre every day as part of the Healthy Meals programme funded by Catalyst.
Youth Action Alliance (YAA) is a charity delivering youth and community programmes for children and young people across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and surrounding boroughs.
United Living have progressed well with internal finishes, work to the roof and communal areas on Bond Mansions.
