We are looking for residents who would like to get more involved in making sure that their blocks are kept clean and in good repair.
There are 18 blocks within the Wornington Green estate and we hope to appoint a resident to act as block representative for each block. People interested in becoming a “rep” for their block need to be available on the first Thursday morning of every month to show us any areas of concern. This list may include, for example, security doors, graffiti to be removed and communal rubbish.
During each monthly inspection, the block rep will do a walkabout with Farah Ebrahem, the Housing Officer for Wornington Green and a property supervisor. This will involve checking communal walkways and landings are clear from any safety hazards, noting issues with security doors, ensuring residents’ gardens are clean and clear, and inspecting lifts to ensure they are working.
Any work required is sent over to the Maintenance or Property supervisor’s team to be resolved.
If you would like to participate and take an active interest in the maintenance and upkeep of your block then please contact Farah Ebrahem, Wornington Green Housing Officer on 020 8964 6449 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The next walkabout will take place at 10am on Thursday 6 October.
