Families who qualify for Healthy Start coupons can now use their vouchers at fruit and veg stalls on Portobello Road and Golborne Road, after market traders signed up to accept coupons.
Healthy Start is a national scheme that helps families achieve a healthy balanced diet, by providing vouchers for pregnant women and those with children under the age of four. Vouchers can be spent on milk, including infant formula, and plain, fresh and frozen fruit and vegetables.
To raise awareness of local traders accepting vouchers, a promotional stall was organised by Go Golborne, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea market development team and Mytime Active in January.
Local Councillors visited during the day to meet traders, and passers-by were treated to giveaways, recipe ideas and samples of delicious dishes made using produce available from the market.

Winter: Apples, beetroot, swede, sweet potato, celeriac, clementine. Sweet roots and veg for roasting will see you through the winter months.
