This is just a reminder to please report any incidents of anti-social behaviour (ASB) on Wornington Green to us. Thank you to those who have been doing this already, and we are working to resolve the problems you’ve raised with us.
For example, some of you have told us that groups of young people are hanging around certain blocks on the estate, sometimes smoking and drinking, and that it can feel intimidating walking past them.
We are trying to engage these young people in meaningful activities, and we are in the process of talking with their parents where possible to explain that this type of behaviour constitutes anti-social behaviour, is unacceptable on the estate and could threaten their tenancy if it continues.
We are liaising closely with the Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) which patrols the estate on a regular basis to monitor anti-social behaviour and criminal activity of any kind. Please see posters on the notice board in the communal areas and the adjacent article on how to contact the SNT.
Needless to say if you witness any criminal behaviour on the estate (e.g. drug dealing) then please call the Police immediately on 999. We look forward to continuing to work with you and for you, to make Wornington Green an ASB-free community.
Please contact your Housing and Regeneration Co-ordinator Mary, Liza or Mushtaq if you have anything to report. Their details can be found on the Contacts page.
All conversations will be treated in confidence.
