This recipe is usually made in Poland at Easter. It is very good and relatively easy to make.

What you will need

FOR THE DOUGH

  • 300g flour
  • 200g butter
  • 100g sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons of cream

FOR THE TOPPING

  • 400g dark chocolate
  • 200g double cream
  • 1 spoon of butter
  • Almonds or other nuts for decoration
Cooking instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.

2. Knead the flour, butter, sugar, cream and egg yolk to a smooth dough. Cover the dough with foil and place it in a fridge for 30 minutes. Roll the dough until ¼” or thinner. Move the dough onto two rectangular trays (around 15” by 13”). Prick the dough with a fork then bake for 15 minutes at 200°C.

3. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over boiling water, add butter and cream, and mix for 15 minutes. Pour the chocolate mixture onto the baked dough, even it out with a spatula or a knife and decorate with the almonds or other nuts.
