For those of you who don’t know me, I am Karina Skinner, a Wornington Green resident and Vice Chair of the Residents’ Steering Group (RSG) supported by NewmanFrancis, the independent tenants advisor (ITA), in your neighbourhood. We work side-by-side to support residents throughout the regeneration.
We would like to say Happy New Year to all Wornington Green residents and Catalyst staff. We hope you and your families all had a fun and peaceful Christmas.
Just before Christmas we received the news that our Chair of the RSG, Rejhan Meshekrani, was standing down from the role. Rejhan has been a wonderful Chair and has brought a lot of positivity to the group. She will be sorely missed by all of the residents on the Steering Group. As Vice Chair, I have agreed to step in as Interim Chair until a replacement is found.
The RSG’s Secretary, Rob Merlini, has also stepped down from his role as Secretary. Rob has made many valuable contributions at our meetings.
NewmanFrancis and I would really like to thank Rejhan and Rob for all their hard work – it really has been appreciated. We wish them lots of luck for the future.
So the group now has an opening for a new Chair and Secretary. The RSG is open to all Catalyst residents living at Wornington Green and Portobello Square. If you would like to be considered for either of these roles, please contact us at NewmanFrancis.
The RSG and the ITA are currently focusing on Wornington Green’s young people, we are interested to hear about their views on the ongoing regeneration of their homes and neighbourhood.
The date of the next RSG Public meeting is Thursday 25 February, 6.15pm to 8.15pm at the Venture Centre.
To find out more about the work of the RSG and how to get involved, call the ITA on 020 8536 1436/Freephone 0800 644 6040 (free from landline) or get in touch by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
