With glorious sunshine, delicious food and a host of family-friendly activities there really was something for everyone to enjoy at Golborne Festival on Sunday 19 July. As well as bringing the local community together the festival also allows visitors to experience first-hand what’s great about the area and soak up its vibrancy.
While over 100 local children enjoyed our upcycling activities and homework club competition (winning entries below); grown-ups took the opportunity to learn more about Catalyst’s exciting new projects in their area.
Plans include a new employment programme, aiming to support residents into work and training and a brand new after-school homework club at the Venture Centre.
Special thanks to the Golborne Forum for another brilliant event and all the fantastic volunteers that gave up their precious time to lend a hand. We can’t wait to catch up with you all again next year! Visit the Golborne Forum’s website for more images at golbornelife.co.uk, and for information about the local area.
Wednesday 4.30pm – 6pm (year 7+)
Friday 4.30pm – 6pm (child must be 5 years and in year 1)
If you are interested in the homework club contact the Venture Centre on 020 8960 3234.
