Would you like to support the local community as well as improve your confidence, skills and CV? Then why not volunteer at one of Kensington’s fantastic local community centres.
You can volunteer at Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Womens’ Centre, Meanwhile Gardens or The Venture Centre. Local residents have already had a chance to volunteer as an early years practitioner, interior designer, play worker, book keeper, receptionist and community gardener to name but a few.
You don’t have to volunteer for a particular amount of time just something that’s right for you. You can also volunteer at fun local events; it’s a great way to get to know new people.
The volunteering opportunities are funded by Catalyst Gateway’s Kensington Community fund and are a great chance for people of all ages and abilities to come together and make a difference in their local community.
Whether you’re an aspiring gardener, interested in becoming a play worker, or looking to take on more of an office-based role, we’re sure to have an opportunity that’s right for you! No previous experience necessary, just lots of energy and enthusiasm!
What can you expect?
As a valued volunteer you’ll receive one-to-one support, role specific training and learn new skills in a friendly and supportive environment. You’ll also get to meet new people and have the opportunity to take part in our fun social events.
