Visiting older people on Wornington Green

Many older people living on Wornington Green and in the new development already benefit from support from a Catalyst funded outreach service for older people. Bernice Semple, the Outreach Worker employed by Age UK Kensington and Chelsea provides advice and support to residents, helping people to deal with problems and access all of the services that they are entitled to.

Bernice is now looking for volunteers to help her deliver the service which will enable her to help even more residents. This would involve attending initial home visits with Bernice and then doing a follow up visit afterwards on behalf of Age UK if necessary.

If you have a few hours to spare and would be interested in volunteering, please contact Bernice Semple. Full support and training will be given and you will have the added benefit of becoming an official volunteer with Age UK Kensington and Chelsea which means that you will be able to attend training courses and there are other benefits like the annual volunteers’ party!

Bernice is getting ready to visit residents who are due to move into the new development, so please get in touch soon if you are interested in volunteering.

If you are due to be moving soon or need any other advice or support please get in touch with Bernice and she can arrange to meet you and discuss the support on offer. Bernice can help you access a wide range of services including taxicards, freedom passes, help with fuel tariff reviews, bills and benefits entitlement and much much more!

Bernice works three days a week – Tuesday to Thursday and can be contacted on 020 8969 9105 or 07825 639 764.
