Community Outreach Worker Update

The older people’s outreach project has been providing a service to older people for the last three years. Many people living on Wornington Green and in the new development now know the Age UK Community Outreach Worker, Bernice Semple, very well.

This year the project will be focusing more on one-to-one visits and outreach to identify older people who aren’t already known to Bernice, who might benefit from some advice and support or perhaps access to new events, services and activities.

Over the last few months residents have benefited from a range of services and support including: garden clearance, blue badge and taxi card applications, hospital transport, pensions, PPI advice, fuel tariff reviews, benefits checks, aids and adaptations and information about day care centres.

If you think that you or one of your neighbours would benefit from Age UK services and a chat with Bernice please get in touch.

Bernice can be contacted on either 020 8969 9105 or 07785 345 740 between Tuesday and Thursday each week. Alternatively you can call Catalyst on 0300 456 2099 and we will ask Bernice to get in touch with you.
