This year will be a busy year for the Independent Tenant Advice service (ITA). Our mission: “To boldly go where no ITA service has gone before”, making sure along the way that residents have more influence over what happens in the redevelopment of Wornington Green. To help accomplish our mission we’ve been busy working with the Residents’ Steering Group to develop a new action plan and this will be the main focus of our work over the coming months.
But what does this mean exactly? During the first part of 2014 watch out for:
Plus, we’ll be doing lots of outreach and talking to as many residents as we can. We plan to hold a coffee afternoon in the Moroccan Café in April to find out what the residents that meet there think about the regeneration.
We provide a one-to-one service with residents that may need independent advice or would like to discuss personal issues relating directly to the regeneration. We want to find out whether you have any issues about the new development and how we can help resolve these.
You can keep up to date with all the latest news from the ITA service and Residents’ Steering Group via our Facebook page and Twitter. We will be providing regular updates during 2014 so please ‘follow us’ on Twitter and ‘like and share’ our Facebook page.
Even if you’ve never been to a meeting before we hope you’ll be able to get involved and play a part in the regeneration area.
Resident meetings take place on the last Thursday of every month and are open to everyone living in the regeneration area.
The next three monthly resident meetings:
Thursday 30 January
Thursday 27 February
Thursday 27 March
The meetings are lively, informal and fun and take place 6pm – 7.30pm at the Venture Centre.
A Residents’ Advice Surgery (for one-to-one help) takes place after the meeting.
