Construction activities have progressed well over the last few months. Most residents have now moved into Block 1 and you can now walk along Bonchurch Road and Munro Mews and see the new homes occupied. A few final moves will take place in early 2014, which is later than planned because there have been further delays with the switchover to a permanent power supply. UK Power Networks, the electricity suppliers for the area were on site before Christmas to prepare for the switchover. Work started again in the New Year and we now expect all residents in Block 1 to have a permanent power supply by the end of February, in the meantime, residents continue to enjoy free electricity!
Good progress is also being made on Block 3, which is the next block being built between the Venture Centre and Block 1. The structure of the block is clearly visible above the hoarding on Wornington Road. All of the ‘for sale’ apartments in Block 3 have been sold and Catalyst has been busy making offers of new homes to Catalyst tenants living on the Wornington Green Estate. We anticipate that the first residents will move into their new homes in Block 3 in about six month’s time.
