Greens, Shoots & Leaves

The hidden treasure that is Wornington Green’s Community Kitchen Garden has been recognised in the London in Bloom and Royal Horticulture Society’s ‘It’s your Neighbourhood Awards’. The garden was awarded Level 3 out of 5 which is a fantastic achievement. Managed by the Wornington Green Community Group with support from Catalyst and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, the garden has been a great success. A group of keen green fingered residents look after the various garden plots and benefit from regular workshops, events and newsletters. Not to mention the benefits they get from growing their own fruit and vegetables.

If you live on Wornington Green Estate or the surrounding area and are keen to be involved in the Community Kitchen Garden project there are currently a couple of plots available. The plots are free to residents and are allocated on a first come first served basis, so get in quick. To learn more about the project and to get involved please contact Leigh Gravenor on either 020 8964 6433 or 07525 904 253 or leigh.gravenor@chg.org.uk.
