Community Outreach Worker Update

Older residents are being contacted and visited to find out if they need any help accessing services and information packs are being given out with details of services that Age UK K&C can help with, such as benefit and fuel tariff checks, a calendar of activities and a reminder about the support that Bernice Semple, the Community Outreach Worker can provide.

Bernice can visit older residents, by appointment, to talk through any issues they may have and offer emotional and practical support where needed.

Don’t forget that all older people are invited to attend the coffee afternoon every Wednesday from 2.30pm onwards in the residents’ room. Apart from meeting and making new friends, older people can benefit from getting advice and support.

There will be a trip to Garsons Farm in Surrey at the beginning of September for older residents, organised by the Wornington Green Community Group. If you are interested in going, please let Bernice know.

If you need support please contact Bernice Semple, on either 020 8969 9105 or 07785 345 740 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
