There is nothing like spending a sunny afternoon enjoying a free barbeque, listening to good music in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The Wornington Green summer event took place on Saturday 29 June and over 150 local people attended. There was a free barbeque and plenty of activities for children to enjoy including a bouncy castle, face painting and table tennis. There were also delicious homemade cakes on sale and the raffle was a huge success.
Wornington Green Community Group would like to thank the following organisations who have donated prizes for the raffle and gifts for the children: Mears Group Plc, Tescos, Grace Foods, Palki Indian Restaurant – Golborne Road, Mo Betta Cutz Barbershop and Gate Ventures.
The group would also like to thank all the volunteers who worked extremely hard to make the day a huge success and to Catalyst who provided the funding for the event.
The event was organised by the Wornington Green Community Group and Catalyst. To find out more about further events and how to get involved, contact Danella on 07931 786 676 or Leigh Gravenor Catalyst Partnership & Outreach Officer on 020 8964 6433.
