Update from Independent Tenants’ Advisor

Since our last update, the Resident Steering Group (RSG) and Design Group members have been very busy focusing on getting residents involved in informing the designs for Phase 2 of the Wornington Green regeneration. The last Design meeting took place on Tuesday 4 June. This session brought together all the input residents have made over the last four months.

The next stage involved sharing the final outcome of the Design Group with all residents. The RSG hosted the second Phase 2 consultation event on Saturday 15 June. The event provided a valuable opportunity for residents to comment on what has been suggested and to feedback their views to inform the future design and planning application for Phase 2.

Another important piece of work that the RSG has been working on, through the Committee, is reviewing Catalyst’s delivery of the Residents’ Charter. The Charter sets out what residents can expect from Catalyst during the re-development of Wornington Green. It contains the agreement and commitments made with residents, about how the regeneration is carried out, how residents will be involved and what residents are to expect and receive. The RSG aims to ensure these commitments are honoured.

You can get updates on the work of the RSG Committee and the progress of the regeneration by attending the RSG meeting on the last Thursday of every month at the Venture Centre from 6pm. You can also follow the work of the RSG by logging on to the RSG’s Facebook page: Wornington Green Residents’ Steering Group.
