Residents reviewing Phase 2 have said they are pleased that the emerging designs reflect that their comments have been considered.
The event on Saturday 15 June 2013 offered residents of Wornington Green and the surrounding neighbourhood an opportunity to talk to the architects about the designs for the next phase of homes to be built.
For Phase 2 the architects had to work within the existing planning permission for the masterplan so the consultation has focussed on details of the new designs. A series of design workshops with residents on the Design Focus Group over the last four months has discussed the external appearance of the buildings, communal areas and the layout of the flats.
Residents preferences have been raised with RBKC planners and where possible addressed in the designs.
Shaip Bajgora, one of the residents on the Design Focus Group said:
“Residents have spent several months considering the design and the architects have taken our suggestions on board where possible. People at the event were eager to know more and the architects were able to show where they had taken on our suggestions and explain where it had not been possible to do so.”
