Demolition of Faraday House is now well underway by a specialist demolition contractor. All of the flats have now been stripped of parts, for example, electrical wiring, doors, windows, toilets and baths. All services have been disconnected, such as gas, electrics and water. Scaffolding has been put up in places for safety purposes and to protect surrounding areas, including the Venture Centre. Work has begun to remove the roof tiles and the walls. Faraday House will then be separated from Wheatstone House and the foundations of Faraday House removed.
The demolition of Faraday House is expected to take approximately 16 weeks and is due to end in August. Given its close proximity to the Venture Centre and Wheatstone House, Ardmore will be keeping them regularly informed about the demolition works. Ardmore will also ensure that noise, dust levels and disruption are kept to a minimum.
Don’t forget that Ardmore has a Resident Liaison Officer, Marcia Coke, who can answer your questions about Ardmore’s construction activities and respond to residents’ queries and complaints. Marcia can be contacted on 07747 862 022 or by email MCoke@ardmoregroup.co.uk.
