£15,000 set aside for Estate Improvements

Last year we had some valuable input from residents about what the estate improvement budget should be spent on. Some of the improvements carried out included:

  • Installation of CCTV at Olive Blythe and Paul Houses.
  • Purchase of new chairs for the residents’ room.
  • Planting to brighten up the estate (see photographs).

We need your help again!

This year, in addition to our on-going repairs and maintenance work on the estate we have £15,000 set aside for estate improvements on Wornington Green. The following types of improvement work can be considered:

  • Landscaping and general clean-up/maintenance of communal areas within estates.
  • Aesthetic improvements to estates which may include additional lighting, fencing or new paths.
  • Creating new surfaces for increased parking or refuse and recycling stations.
  •  Security works and small CCTV systems possibly recommended by Crime Prevention Officer.
  • Improvements and equipment for the residents’ room.

We would like to get input from residents. Please get in touch with Sue Hannah on 020 8964 6448 or email sue.hannah@chg.org.uk if you have any ideas for improving Wornington Green.

Once priorities have been identified and cost, the Kensington Local Board will be asked to approve the plans.

We look forward to hearing from you.
