An Employment and Training Day is being held for local residents on Thursday 17 May, from 2pm to 6pm, at Kensington and Chelsea College, Wornington Road.
The event will be an opportunity for local people to sign up for a pre-apprenticeship programme that will offer construction apprenticeships to five young people under 24 years old who successfully complete the four-week course.
There will also be details of local construction jobs on offer at Wornington Green and how to put your name forward for future vacancies. For those new to construction, there will be details of construction courses run by Kensington and Chelsea College, including help to get the CSCS safety card needed by employees to work on construction sites.
The event is being organised by Catalyst Gateway, the charitable community investment arm of Catalyst Housing, Ardmore Construction Ltd, the main contractor for Wornington Green and Kensington and Chelsea College, the local Adult and Community Learning Centre.
