October Estate Inspection

During my recent estate inspection, I received a number of reports that bags of rubbish are being left around the bin chutes and rubbish bags are being forced down the bin chute which leads to the bags splitting, and rubbish being left around the communal areas.

In case you are not aware, Wornington Green has in the past suffered from a mice infestation problem. Leaving rubbish lying around communal areas will attract vermin, and it also results in stains and odours which are very difficult to remove. Please dispose of your rubbish by using smaller bin bags for the rubbish chute.

Unwanted household items are also being left by the bin areas. If you would like household items to be collected, please contact the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) on 020 7361 3001, if you are in receipt of benefits then RBKC can collect these household items free of charge.

Please work with Catalyst by ensuring you put your rubbish into the bins provided. Dumping rubbish and other household items on the estate is a breach of your tenancy and action will be taken against individuals who are known offenders.

If you have any queries about your rubbish disposal please contact Farah Ebrahem, Wornington Green Housing Officer, on 020 8964 6449 or email farah.ebrahem@chg.org.uk.

Please get in touch if you would like to join me (Farah) on my next walkabout on Thursday 1 December 2011 at 10am.
